Meet Phil
Prior to entering politics, Phil owned and operated property development and construction companies specializing in residential and commercial renovation work. A hard-working, dedicated and passionate entrepreneur, he received numerous industry awards and served as President of both the Brantford and the Ontario Home Builder’s Associations.
He was raised in Brantford by his working-class parents – dad was a firefighter, mom was a secretary and homemaker – and worked hard at local factories, as well as the John Noble Home, in order to make ends meet.
Phil attended Brantford Collegiate Institute, received his undergraduate degree from Wilfrid Laurier University in 1976 and completed graduate studies at Kent State University in Ohio on a hockey scholarship.
He is married to Nancy, his wife of 35 years. They have 4 beautiful children; Sarah, Jessica, Lauren & Jordan, along with 4 grandchildren.
